The usual pattern has a weighted bead placed mid way along the shank with a long thin nose of thread and rear body of marabou and fritz. Placing the bead in the middle of the hook allows the fly to sink evenly, rather than head first.
This variant has a pair of blue chain beads placed midway and flash strands along the marabou tail. The fritz body has been clipped back under the shank allowing sufficient gape to aid hook penetration. The flies have been tied on Kamasan size 8 hooks.
This set of 12 flies are contained in a transparent lidded box and have been tied by me, exclusively for Challenge Flies.
I have just sold this set to a previous Challenge Flies Customer.
