6 Traditional Trout Flies Invicta, Mallard, Peter Ross, Butcher, Kingfisher Butcher, Heckham Peckham
This is a set of six Trout Flies, tied to the Traditional design. It includes well established patterns (Invicta, Claret and Mallard, Peter Ross) and other less well known patterns (Butcher, Kingfisher Butcher and Heckham Peckham). The Heckham Peckham was traditionally used for sea trout (in larger sizes) but it has been used successfully for trout in Scottish lochs.
These patterns represent either hatching insects (Invicta for sedge pupa; Claret and Mallard for general purpose flies) to pin fry imitations (Peter Ross, Butcher types). The Invicta and Claret and Mallard are probably the most well known and successful wet flies for both still and running water.
All flies are tied on quality Kamasan size 10 hooks. The barbs have been crushed to allow for Catch and Release fishing and especially for running water where fish have to be released safely.
The set is contained in a transparent lidded box, that can be used as a fly box. Postage is included in the price.
(The patterns can be supplied with barbed hooks, but will take up to 10 days to produce.)
