3 Copper Thorax Pheasant Tail Nymphs Sizes 12 or 14
This pattern is a variation of the famous Pheasant tail nymph (Sawyer's nymph) as devised by Frank Sawyer. This version has a very pronounced thorax of copper wire which adds further weight to the medium weight hook. The PTN is an impressionistic pattern, representing small dark olives and Baetis nymphs swimming to the surface to hatch. It is equally successful on both stillwater and rivers and accounts for many fish caught throughout the World.
