This pattern is an orange version of the Muddler Minnow, the pattern that imitates small fish on the bottom, to large surface insects. This orange version has an orange tail and gold tinsel body, so may be taken more as a fish imitation than as an insect. The deer hair head creates a large surface disturbance and with the palmer hackle, this is highly attractive to predatory trout. It can be fished with a floating line (+long leader) or alternatively with intermediate or sinking lines. The pattern is available in size 8 on a D/E hook.
